Rubbish clearance questions
Where can I dispose of large bulky items?
Your council can collect bulky items for a fee, usually within a week or two, or you can take them to a household waste and recycling centre if you have a suitable vehicle. If you need them gone sooner, a licensed waste carrier like us can collect the same or next day.
How much do waste removal companies charge?
Most charge by volume. With us a small item is from £40, a sofa from £80, a fridge £90, and van loads from £180 to £500, all including VAT and labour.
What is the cheapest way to get rid of unwanted furniture?
If it is in good condition, donating it to a charity shop or furniture reuse scheme is often free. Council bulky-waste collections are usually the cheapest paid option. A clearance company costs more but does the lifting and can come much sooner.
Can you really collect on the same day?
Often, yes. We work seven days a week and keep capacity for urgent jobs, but same-day slots depend on the day’s bookings and your location. Call as early as possible and we’ll tell you straight away whether we can come today or first thing tomorrow.
